Since starting my education on health and fitness I have had numerous discussions with people that are trying to become competitive again. Most have given up on themselves (lack of fitness, beer belly, excess body fat, no energy anymore or their joints aren’t up to it) or they look at people who can be competitive over 40 and put it down to “good genes” or something, never realizing that they could be like that.
What they don’t realise is that it’s just about changing your mind. If your prepared to put your common beliefs to one side for a while, exercise differently and eat differently (and actually enjoying yourself while you’re at it) then changes will happen. Remember: ‘Insanity = Doing the same things and expecting different results’. I've studied the science and done it myself - I know the steps that work, it’s just a matter of you deciding that’s what you want. |
